SpotShot is a screenshot tool built for poker. One press saves everything that matters about a tournament hand: not only the table itself, but what the lobby says at that moment. The prize pool, how many players are left, the bounties, and the chests still unopened if it is a mystery tournament.

You press your shortcut, and SpotShot takes several screenshots for you: the table, the tournament lobby, and the chests that are left on a mystery. It then joins them into one clear image and saves it to the folder you picked.

Mostly for keeping the preflop spots you want to come back to, where what matters is not just the situation at the table but how many players were left when the hand was played, along with the average stack, the starting stack, the prize pool and the chests that are left if it is a mystery tournament.

Yes. There is a second shortcut for ordinary screenshots, and it works much like the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows: click any window to photograph it, or drag a box around the part of the screen you want.

It photographs what you point it at exactly as it is, whether that is a poker table or anything else. Anonymous, High resolution and Instant capture belong to the table shortcut and never change an ordinary screenshot.

It is as simple as it sounds. Pick the shortcut you like in the main window, then press it during the hand you want to keep. That is the whole thing.

There is nothing to set up room by room. Our team has already done that work, and when a poker room puts out an update we adjust for it and send the fix to everyone.

Beyond the basics, which are the two shortcuts and the folders they save to, the settings let you put the lobby beside the table or underneath it, hide the names at the table, and choose the capture sound, its volume, or no sound at all.

There are two more for the capture itself: taking the table the moment you hover it, with no click, and photographing it at a higher resolution.

No. SpotShot writes the hand history from the table itself, so there is no hand to look for in a tracker. It is in the spot’s folder, and in the spot library it is one click away with Copy hand.

If you use a tracker for your stats, keep it for that.

In the SpotShot library folder inside your capture folder. Every spot in the library is a folder on your PC, so File Explorer shows the same spots, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Stars, review marks, tags and notes are saved into each spot’s own folder, so they move with it.

With the two HRC switches on in Settings › Capture behaviour, each capture gets a folder of its own with two more files in it: the hand history of the spot and the tournament structure.

The hand is written in the PokerStars format up to your decision. The structure carries what each place pays, read off the lobby in the same capture.

The hand history is in the PokerStars format that Holdem Resource Calculator and GTO Wizard import. The structure file has the shape of a SharkScope export, which HRC loads in its hand setup.

No. The payouts are read off the lobby at the moment you capture, and SpotShot writes them as a structure file HRC loads as it is. There is nothing to look up and nothing to build.

The capture is always saved. The hand file is still written with the seats, their stacks and a button, so it imports; the folder says “spot not read”, and the log says why.

Check the positions after importing one of those.

Nothing while it is in beta. SpotShot starts as a free public beta that runs for its first couple of months, with every feature included.

After the beta it becomes a paid app.

Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. Everything SpotShot needs comes in the installer; there is nothing else to install.

SpotShot is not code-signed yet, and Windows shows that warning for any program it does not recognise. Click More info, then Run anyway.

The installer comes straight from our GitHub releases, the same place SpotShot updates itself from.

If your poker client, HUD or table manager runs as administrator, Windows will not let an ordinary program click into it. Run SpotShot as administrator too, so the two have the same rights.

If it still happens, export the log from Settings › Help and send it to us on Discord.

Yes, and specifically while you play. It follows the rules of every poker room it works on, gives no unfair advantage, and does one thing for the player: saves a screenshot of the hand and the lobby quickly.

We did not take that on trust: we double-checked with poker rooms that it can be used while you play.

The code was written by trusted, experienced people, and there is simply no way in it for anyone to learn what you have photographed, ourselves included. The only thing SpotShot talks to the internet about is checking for and downloading updates.

Staying on the current version is what keeps SpotShot working. Poker rooms put out a big update now and then, and one that changes how their software looks can break things: SpotShot is tuned to each room individually, down to the size of its table and its lobby.

We watch for that closely and fix it quickly, and the fix reaches you as the next update.

Yes. SpotShot has no trouble with Jurojin or any other table manager running at the same time, non-standard table sizes included.
